Snow and Stormy weather -During winter if the school buses are cancelled due to stormy weather, the food bank will also be cancelled. Listen to 560 am radio CFOS for this info or go online to Bayshore Broadcasting for updates. Our food Bank will be open the next available day when the buses run (possibly on Wednesday.)
We are a Christian based Outreach Ministry of Gentle Shepherd Community Church - Grey County compassionately assisting people in need.
OUR FOCUS
To treat everyone with dignity and respect;
To have a supply of groceries on hand for anyone needing help;
To provide healthy, nutritious food;
To be a physical, emotional, and spiritual support;
To listen attentively to present problems and concerns of our clients;
To assist clients in moving toward self-sufficiency and healthier life-styles, by connecting them to community resources.
FAST FACTS
In 2021, 69 families with 115 adults and 56 children received support.
We averaged 48 families a month; a 12% increase from 2020.
90% of the food is purchased at a monthly cost of $6,045.
Families on disability make up 43% of our clients.
100% of all funds raised are dedicated to the Food Bank. • All of our staff are volunteers.

Hours of Operation: Open twice monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 9:30am - noon.
