"It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world." ~ John 16:21 (NLT)
Some sorrows are so great that even My most committed followers nearly drown in them. This is NOT what My Father desires. Child, your sorrows can divert your path and purpose. When you can't let go of sorrow, you are fixing your gaze on that which is temporary. The pains of childbirth are real, but as soon as a mother holds the newborn baby, the pain is replaced with joy. She would never set the baby aside and spend weeks or months focusing on her former labor pains. My dear one, I want you to know that you have callings and purposes that are eternal. What you have in Me is infinitely greater than any temporary loss you might experience. Don't let sorrow prevent you from laboring in My Father's vineyard. You are so important to Our mission. Fix the gaze of your heart on Me!
"So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy." ~ John 16:22 (NLT)
