"Who is more important, the one who sits at the table or the one who serves? The one who sits at the table, of course. But not here! For I am among you as one who serves." ~ Luke 22:27, NLT

In the world a wealthy person sitting at a restaurant table is viewed as more important than the server. This is not true in My Father's kingdom. When I was sent to earth, My mission was so important because I was doing the will of the Father. In My kingdom you heart to serve the Father is what makes you important. Washing My disciples' feet on the night of My arrest was just as important to the Father as raising Lazarus from the dead. In both situations, I was doing exactly what He wanted Me to do. Your importance in the Father's kingdom is determined by your willingness to serve Him by doing His will. I was the leader, teacher, protector, and life-giving Messiah among My disciples. And yet, from the time I called them, I never stopped serving them. Doing the Father's will always involves serving. In serving the disciples I was serving Him. If you want to be great in the kingdom, serve the Father by lovingly serving others.

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I gave you an example that you also should do as I did to you." ~ John 13:14-15, NASB
