"If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, "Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea," and it would obey you." ~ Luke 17:6, NKJV
When I told My disciples they were to forgive a brother seven times in the same day, they were shocked. They had a hard time forgiving even once a day. My command seemed impossible, so they pleaded with the Lord, "Increase our faith!" But obeying any of My commands does not require more faith; it requires some faith. I told the disciples that with even the tiniest amount of faith, they could perform miracles. Their inability to obey My command revealed that when it came to forgiveness, they had no faith. Their faith could be increased only by obeying My words. Faith grows by hearing My words and obeying them. My disciples didn't need more faith to forgive one another; they needed more obedience. You please and glorify the Father with your faith. And growing your faith is as important as anything you will ever do. But the only way to grow your faith is to hear My promises and commands and act on them. The more you do that, the more your faith will grow.
"Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." ~ John 14:21
