When You Pray
"But when you pray; go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then you Father, who sees everything, will reward you." ~ Matthew 6:6 NLT
Today I want you to set aside a time to get away by yourself, free of all distractions to pray. Praying alone and in secret for more than a few minutes requires faith. You need faith that the Father and I will truly be with you and will listen to your heart. This is a time to hold nothing back - a time to start with matters that are at the top of your mind and then slowly work through everything that is in your heart. this includes your cares, your hopes, your concerns for others, your requests, and your grateful praise. Ask, and you'll receive My Father's answers. Seek His will and you will know it. Knock on the door of His heart, and He will open it to you. And when you are finished, meditate on My words and listen to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit. We will be waiting for you.
"If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" ~ Luke 11:13
