"These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble." ~ John 16:1, NKJV
Every fall starts with a stumble. It's never expected. Every fall brings sudden injury. And nothing is worse than a spiritual fall that breaks your intimacy with Me. On the night of My arrest, I told My disciples about the trials they were about to experience. I didn't want them to be taken by surprise and made to stumble. Child, you, too, will experience many trials. But every trial you face is only temporary. As the Holy Spirit revealed through Paul, when you are following Me, your afflictions are only temporary, but they produce glorious eternal treasures. So don't fix your gaze on things that are seen, but fix it on Me, My life, and My words. And know that being weighed down by sin can cause you to stumble and fall. If you iwll continually dwell in My words, the truth will set you free from your bondage to sin. Today cast off all distractions that take your eyes off Me and cause you to stumble. Keep My yoke upon you, and let Me carry your load. You will not stumble when you are harnessed to Me.
"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." ~ Matthew 11:29-30, NASB
